Aphrodite Cruise Ship Fire at Halong Bay Dock Vietnam – The Aphrodite Cruise Ship was completely engulfed in Fire while docked in Halong Bay, Vietnam Passengers Evacuated.

The cruise ship Aphrodite with reportedly 36 passengers aboard were evacuated when the cruise ship caught fire at the dock in Halong Bay, Vietnam at 1100 hours local time on Friday, May 6, 2016.

The passengers on an overnight cruise were from France, South Korea, Taiwan and the United Kingdom and only minor injuries were reported. Some jumped from the burning ship and were rescued.

A video filmed by nearby residents show the cruise ship at the dock when white smoke begins to be seen blowing from inside the ship. Within a few minutes the cruise ship is fully engulfed in flames with black smoke billowing from the ship.

Passengers were quickly evacuated from the ship and at one point, a person re-boards the ship to help others.
